Good morning lovelies! Even though the weather isn’t co-operating, I’m starting to feel Spring in the air! I am getting the urge to clean out the whole house, get rid of things that are taking up space, and I’d really love to play out in the dirt and see what our yard really looks like. We moved into our new hopefully “forever” home in November, so we haven’t seen our yard in bloom yet. It has been fun watching crocuses and tulips pop up in spaces we thought were empty or have been covered with leaves. I get the feeling that the yard was not taken care of very well by the last tenants, so it will get a chance to be center stage this year and from now on! Gardening is a topic that will get talked about a lot here. It is a true passion of mine that was passed down from my mother, even though I didn’t love it as a child. I used to complain when we had to go to yet another greenhouse. How I would love to spend my days doing that with her now!! We don’t get to do it enough.
Yesterday I wore darker, Winter colors but I paired them with my new lace up pointy toed flats from Payless. I loved how these shoes fit and I know that I will be wearing them all Spring and Summer. This style of shoe is very on point for this season. I have been seeing them everywhere! I have my eyes on this cognac pair at Target that I just might have to bring home next week! The flats that I’m wearing are nude, but you can’t tell that with my super pale skin and the glare from my broken phone screen! They aren’t white, I promise! I paired them with my Denizen by Levi’s dark skinny jeans from Target, a red long boyfriend cardigan that I picked up at Goodwill last year, my opal necklace from Kendra Scott that doesn’t seem to be available anymore, and a printed top from Target last fall. My husband said the printed top looks like little birds, but they are supposed to be flowers! I wore my patterned top to join the fourth installment of The Blended Bloggers‘ “Style Perspectives” series, a group that I recently heard about. I can’t wait to dive into their blog and learn more! If you want to join in on the fashion fun, look at the schedule below and join the link up! Fashion is way more fun when we share it!
Speaking of fashion and my love for it…
This is an outfit that I never would have tried if it weren’t for completing the fashion challenges via Get Your Pretty On. Through these fashion challenges I have learned how to shop for my body, what colors really work for me, how to organize my closet and wardrobe in a functional yet stylish way, and also how to buy pieces that I know are going to be staples in my closet, not just random pieces that don’t work with each other. Starting today the Spring 2016 challenge is open! Please join me in the challenge by clicking on the link and joining the program. You will meet women from all over the world, having fun with fashion and making new friends. You will also get all the tools you need to create an amazing Spring wardrobe and not have to worry about what to wear everyday! This has been a life changer for me.
