Woohooo it is Friday!!! This week has actually flown by for me, but I’m still glad that the weekend is here! Today I’m going to start with my Friday Favorites, which will be things that have made my week, anything that has helped me get through the week, or things that I am coveting.
First of all, peas, fresh from the garden! Grow little babies GROW!!
We’ve been growing these beauties from seed, and I have more to plant this weekend. It is a good idea to have several plantings, in several stages of your early vegetables, like peas, spinach, and lettuce to give you ample supply. Gardening is a passion of mine, my therapy (other than shopping). My mother has been a gardener since I can remember and she passed that passion down to me. I didn’t appreciate it when I was younger, but I certainly do now! One of my missions here is to teach how to garden, no matter what you have available to you for space, containers, etc. It can be done!
Last weekend we took a family trip back to the place where we got married. I think it gave us the travel bug!! Our family loves hotels and exploring places that we’ve never been to while creating memories that last forever. We do a lot of road trips and have a passion for cruises. What are your favorite places to travel? Do you have anything lined up for the next year? We are planning out a year or more in advance now and I think it really gives us something to look forward to, plus plenty of time to plan and save. I will be doing plenty of reviews on places to go, things to do, and trips that we have taken. Travel is a huge passion of ours and something I feel should be a priority!
Our yard has so much character, and it’s finding humorous and beautiful things like this that keeps me entertained. I could spend all day working outside and exploring new territory. The kids were running around the yard one day pretending to run away from the grumpy, angry tree and I had no idea what they were talking about until I saw this guy. He is in fact, a very grumpy tree. He guards the woods boundary on one side of our yard and I like to think he’s out there protecting our land. I’m sure he’ll have a fairy house near him soon to protect!!
I’m not completely done organizing my closet for Spring but I have made vast improvements! I took all of my jeans and heavier pants and hung them up, color coordinated on the left side of my closet. I folded several pairs of black leggings and put them on the shelf under the pants, along with some shoes that were on the floor. The top rack will eventually be used but I don’t know what I want to do with it yet. I can’t wait for yard sale season to sell some of my stuff!! In the mean time, you can find me on Poshmark and EBay selling a lot of things that don’t spark joy for me. Yes… I’ve been learning about the KonMarie method. I’ll be doing a review on that as I progress with clearing out my belongings.
These two goofballs keep our family in stitches. You will be seeing a lot more of them as they are always up to no good! Mir Cat is a 1 year old tuxedo kitten, who is shy but lovable. He eats his feelings and plays fetch!! I love having conversations with him. He is such a talker! Princess Ami is my diva. She’s 5 years old and is a tuxedo, mini Maine Coon mix. I got her from a local shelter when she was a few months old, but she’ll tell you that she’s a purebred princess and should be treated as such. We take her outside for a roll on the porch or the sand every once in a while and she tries to wait until we aren’t watching so she can take off. She was an outdoor cat for a little while and thinks she should remain that way!
I found the perfect Winter to Spring nail color for me! It is a bright yet rosy, pink/brown that goes with almost everything and looks Springy with my still super pale skin. I purchased mine at Charlotte Russe, but I see it’s also available via this link to Ulta. My Spring wardrobe is going to be filled with pink, black, white, mint, gray, cognac and navy, so this color will really pop! I currently have it on my nails, but I can see a pedicure in this color soon! It is the perfect transition color. Speaking of transitions, I’m going to end the post with this beautiful Spring sunset from my front yard this week. I love our little neighborhood and the nature that surrounds it. There is no filter here, just pure nature at it’s finest. I hope everyone has a beautiful weekend!!
